"It was an incredible opportunity for me to go through the program in Michigan. To be able to bring a resource of this depth to women in our community is a great gift and a daunting responsibility. I am having fun learning how to get out of the way and  let the spirit lead."

I have over 30 years of experience in ministry serving congregations in US Army Chapels in Germany, the inner-city of Petersburg, Virginia, the vast rural Catholic diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana, and the culturally diverse suburbs in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My Master of Divinity and Master of Pastoral Studies degrees from Loyola Chicago link with a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Virginia State University in providing an integrated approach to life and ministry settings.

Recent opportunities have included the challenging and rewarding work of serving a small rural United Methodist congregation as Pastor, and as a Social Worker and Chaplain for a rural Hospice agency. My roots draw from a rich foundation of experience as I respond to individual’s end-of-life hopes and to support their families as they face life’s losses.

I had the opportunity to experienced Miriam Therese Winter’s Women’s Leadership Institute in Saugatuck, Michigan in 2000. The year-long, once-a-month, retreat immersion experience was transformative for my ministry and my life. Relationships developed during this time that encouraged me to develop an inner confidence and to trust my unique way of blending information, systems and intuition into creative new ways of understanding and experiencing the world. I facilitate group spiritual direction; create and facilitate learning circles; provide consultation for leaders and leadership groups in various settings (individual congregations, cluster-groups, small groups).

Sixteen moves later, my husband and I returned home in 2004 to the Lafayette area where we grew up and met in high school. We are the parents of four children and enjoy the wonder of grandchildren.  As I replant my roots in the midwest soil of Indiana, I hope to offer life and hope to women in the community. I am an instigator and the orchestrator for Indiana Voices of Women and share the work of providing nourishment and possibilities with creativity and a passionate spirit.
